Back to basics: How’s your Internet?

The need for reliable, high-speed internet at home has always been important but over the years it has become more essential. Whether you are working from home, homeschooling, helping your child with homework, or staying connected to family and friends who don’t live close by, the need to stay connected continues to increase. That combined with the everyday conveniences we are used to, such as streaming our favorite movies, means that spotty internet can be a minor inconvenience or a big problem. Plus, the backbone of any connected home is a strong network. Whether you are in need of a reliable internet service provider or better WI-FI coverage, there are solutions for you!

Internet Service Provider (ISP)

Our In The Lite office is just far enough out of town that we can’t get any of your typical high speed ISP’s. And when I say that we’ve tried everything, I mean it! But having the internet go down whenever there was a storm, or even when it was a little windy, is quite frustrating. We also have a lot of clients who want the home automation solutions we offer but they live off the beaten path.

The solution that we found for our office and our clients is Starlink. If you want all the benefits of high-speed internet no matter where you are located, this is the solution for you. Starlink can be installed on the roof or ground and allows you to engage in activities that have historically not been possible with satellite internet. This is made possible by the world’s largest constellation of highly advanced satellites operating in a low orbit around the Earth. And it’s weather resilient meaning it is designed to endure the elements including snow, sleet, heavy rain, and harsh winds.

Mesh Network

And once you have a reliable ISP, the next step is making sure it reaches all corners of your home, business, or property. This includes all out buildings if applicable. Mesh networks utilize multiple access points to blanket your entire home with coverage, both inside and out. You can broadcast Wi-Fi to your exterior buildings using a strong connection without the wire. This extends your Wi-Fi coverage so it will work in all areas of your home or property, even when you aren’t near your router. This allows for even, uninterrupted coverage for you and your family.

As always, we hope we’ve made your day brighter! If you have any questions or would like to learn more, please visit www.inthelitellc.com.
